According to old people of skardu Burja La was one very busy pass in old era., it was the way to Astor valley and Gultari valley to connect main Skardu when there was no road and no access to get there villages .Astori and Gultari people used this way
approach to skardu. The burji La is best approached from Deosai plateau, as the trail up from skardu is very steep two-day climb. We suggest going up to the Deosai via Sadpara and down via the Burji La.
